Deleting Your Data

You can ask us to delete the personal information we hold about you at any time, and you do not need to give a reason. This page explains how to ask and what happens next.
How to request deletion
- Email info@surbathiang.com with the subject line Data deletion request, or send us a WhatsApp message asking for your data to be deleted.
- Tell us the name, phone number, or email address you dealt with us under, so we can find your records. If you contacted us through WhatsApp, messaging us from that same number is the quickest way for us to identify you.
- We will confirm we have received the request, and complete it within 30 days. If we need anything else to verify it is really you, we will ask.
There is no charge for this, and asking will not affect any work currently in progress — though
if we delete your contact details while a project is live, we will no longer be able to reach
you about it.
What gets deleted
- Your name, phone numbers and email address
- Enquiries you have sent us through the website
- Your WhatsApp conversation history on our systems
- Project notes and session details that identify you
- Any recordings and session files we still hold, if you ask us to remove those too — tell us explicitly, because most customers want these kept
What we may have to keep
Some records cannot be deleted on request, because Indian tax and accounting law requires us to retain them:
- Invoices, receipts and payment records, for the retention period the law sets. These are kept for accounting only and are not used to contact you.
- Messages already delivered through WhatsApp remain on Meta's systems and on the phone of anyone who received them. We can delete our copy, but not theirs — to remove the conversation from your own phone, delete it in WhatsApp.
If any of this applies to you, we will tell you exactly which records we are keeping and why.
Other things you can ask for
Deletion is not always what people actually want. You can also ask us to:
- Show you a copy of everything we hold about you
- Correct anything that is wrong
- Stop sending you messages, while keeping your project records intact
Any of these can go to the same address.
